So Who Am I ??

First of all I am glad you are here. Thank you for taking time to go through my website, I really appreciate it.

I am a girl who grew up reading anything and everything I could lay my hands on. In childhood, I used to dream about becoming a writer but life had different plans for me. I lost sight of who I really want to be in high school and like most of my friends ended up doing Bachelors in Computer Science. During undergrad, I found myself often wondering am I doing the right thing? Am I suitable for this? Sometimes you need to keep going to find the answers.

In the senior year of undergrad when I was still in uncertainty, a friend of mine introduced me to the world of data science. Out of curiosity, I started doing Machine Learning course by Professor Andrew Ng. It caught me by surprise. After a very long time, I felt the excitement in me to do something. I wanted to explore the field, learn more about it so I applied for Masters in Computer Science with data science emphasis.

I recently graduated from University of Colorado, Denver in May 2020. In two years, I have learned so much more than I did in four years of undergrad. Data science made me fall in love with computer science as well. Computer Science provided me the tools to understand data science even better.

Today I can say with certainty that I want to be a "Data Scientist". I love all the things about data: cleaning, exploration, making models and visualization.

I am currently looking for a job opportunity that can allow me to utilize my data skills for the benefit of an organization. You can reach out to me to discuss that or anything else in general. Looking forward to hear from you.

My Journey

Data Analytics

I love to extract, process, perform statistical analysis on data to uncover actionable insights for business problems. Basically telling a story through data. It combines two of my favorite things.

Machine Learning

I like to find patterns in large datasets. I have worked with Deep Learning, Regression, Decision Trees, Naive Bayes, Computer Vision, Recommendor Systems and many more.

SQL

The thing I love most about SQL is that it can seep over into multiple disciplines. I love to use SQL wherever I can and trying to improve my knowledge in it.

Tableau

Data visualization allows me to play with charts and visuals to find meaningful trends.

Model Deployment

I try to build models and visualisations that can benefit people and organizations.

Cloud Compute

I have recently started my journey in cloud and got certified with AWS Cloud Practitioner Certificate. Cloud is a great way to deploy models at scale for higher availability to the users.
